Another Baked Oatmeal Creation

Good morning!! I had another success with the 5 o’clock club (6 o’clock club for me!)! Yay!! So far I am 2 for 2!!

I spent last night dreaming up more Baked Oatmeal creations and I decided to go for a Baked Apple Oatmeal!!

Baked Apple Oatmeal

  • 1/3 cup oats
  • 2/3 cup almond milk
  • 1 chopped apple, nuked for 1:30 minutes
  • 1 TBSP raisins
  • a couple pinches brown sugar
  • dash of cinnamon and cloves

Mix all the ingredients together.

001

Pour into oven safe dish.

002

I baked this one at 375* for 30 minutes because I wanted it a little crispier on the outside!

004

Looks great, right?! I think next time I may sprinkle a little brown sugar on top for an extra little crunch!

005

With some PB drizzle on top!! I use about 1 TBSP PB on top of my oats, even though the picture makes it look like a lot more! Just in case you were wondering… :)

003

And of course some coffee!!

Question: Are you a coffee or tea drinker? Do you add anything like milk or sugar to either coffee or tea? I love both, obviously!! I’ve seen a lot of people in the blog world lately who add milk to their tea. Never tried that before but may test it out soon!!

So apparently it’s supposed to get pretty icy tonight and tomorrow. I’m hoping for NO SCHOOL and some snow! Haha! We shall see I guess! I think they are calling for ice right when I would be driving to class in the morning so that should be fun… not really!

One last this before I go, be sure to check out the new Workouts page I added! Let me know if you have any questions! Have a great day!!

  1. I've started drinking tea every morning now, and yes, I add milk! I don't drink milk, so I try to sneak it in where I can. (I like your overnight oatmeal because it not only has yogurt, which I love, but it also has a few splashes of milk). In my tea, I usually put some Splenda and a small amount of tea (probably about 1/8 of a cup). It helps to make it a little creamier. I buy the multipack of caffeine free teas--it comes with orange spice, pomegranate, lemon herbal, spearmint, and one 'nighttime' tea. I LOVE orange spice and spearmint. I was a little hesitant about the pomegranate, but I tried it yesterday and it was delicious too! Let us know about your good tea finds!

  2. That oatmeal creation looks really really good!
I am a BIG tea drinker. Don't like coffee at all. I rarely put anything in my tea. Sadly I need to buy some more...I am going through withdrawal at work today!

  3. I love coffee and tea! :) I love white blueberry tea and tazo tea. Both have enough flavor that I don't have to add anything to it!

  4. Stay warm my friend!!! :)

  5. I eat oatmeal every day for breakfast but it's always the same thing...cinnamon and some brown sugar. I need to get more creative lol.

I drink neither coffee or tea. Never been a coffee drinker and I don't like tea so I drink water. I'm boring.

  6. I'm a coffee drinker through and through! I just put milk or half-and-half. I've gradually stopped putting sugar in, but sometimes I like an iced mocha for a sugar fix.

    Great blog, too!
