BFD yet again!!

Good Evening!! My toilets are still not working right… Grr… Hopefully a plumber will be able to come out tomorrow! I am putting all my hope in American Home Shield! Please come through for me!!

After studying and dealing with some housekeeping issues, I finally decided to push my 7 miler back to tomorrow. It was cold and super windy today, plus I was sitting by the phone waiting for the plumbers to call (which they never did)! Anyway, tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and back in the mid 50’s, so it will make for a much nicer run!! So, I opted to do a Bootcamp Workout! I actually wrote it down for y’all today!!

Today’s Bootcamp Workout:

  • 5 minute warm-up: jumping jacks, jump rope, running in place
  • 5 minute’s Bobbi’s Bootcamp Circuit #1
  • 1 minute cardio: jumping jacks, jump rope, or running in place
  • 80 second front plank
  • 50 second side planks (each side)
  • 1 minute cardio: jumping jacks, jump rope, or running in place
  • 15 squats
  • 15 courtsey lunges(each leg)
  • 1 minute cardio: jumping jacks, jump rope, or running in place
  • 16 torso twists
  • 9 plank ups on each arm
  • 1 minute cardio: jumping jacks, jump rope, or running in place
  • 40 Bicep curls(8lb weights) in a static lunge: switch legs halfway through
  • 20 tricep dips
  • 1 minute cardio: jumping jacks, jump rope, or running in place
  • 45 second boat pose
  • 18 side planks with twists (each side)
  • 60 bicycle crunches

Man that was a great workout! I kept my heart rate up with those short bursts of cardio every couple minutes, which made for a very sweaty me!! Love it! This workout took about 31 minutes total. All the ab moves are from Whittle My Middle 2! Great way to sneak it in! After this workout, I took Sadie for a 1 mile walk and froze!! She was a happy camper though!!

For lunch, I decided to have a leftover Turkey Burger from last night.

Topped with melted Swiss, spinach, mustard, and ketchup!

005

I had a sliced pear and some wheat thins on the side for some CRUCH!!

School reading took up the majority of the afternoon (as did catching up on everyone’s blogs!!) but I did break for a snack around 4:30pm. I made my own snack mix:

009

I did a little Oh’s cereal, some peanuts, and some dark chocolate chips.

010

Yummy!! Love this combo!!

I also decided to give Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride tea another shot…

And yet again, it disappointed :( I will not be drinking this again.

I really wasn’t in the mood to cook tonight so I decided it would be a BFD night, yet again!! I was definitely feeling some pancakes! And not a regular pancake, but a Cornbread Pancake!! I got this recipe, yet again, from IGE!! Seriously check her out! Best recipes ever!!! Not to mention the sweetest girl too :) So here’s is Kristin’s Cornbread Pancake Recipe that I made:

Buttermilk Cornbread Pancakes

Ingredients:

1 Tablespoon butter, melted

3 Tablespoons + 2 teaspoons sugar

1 egg

1/2 cup buttermilk

1/3 cup flour

1/2 cup cornmeal

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

1. Mix butter and sugar. Add egg and buttermilk and mix. Add all other ingredients, mix and ladle 1/4 cup batter on a flat top skillet sprayed with non-stick spray.

011

2. When sides have set, flip pancakes over and cook on the other side.

014

015

3. When both sides are golden brown, remove to cooling rack while you cook the rest of the pancakes.

This made a total of 8 small pancakes, 4 for me and 4 for the fiancé! We both LOVED them!! What could be better than a mixture of pancakes and cornbread?!? Nothing!! Topped with a little maple syrup! DELISH!! Kristin, these were wonderful, as totally expected!!

I also had a Strawberry yogurt with blueberries on the side.

019

And for dessert, another cupcake!! These are amazing, but I am ready for them to be gone so I will stop eating them!! There are only 2 left! Hoping the fiancé eats them both tomorrow!!

I am going to work on getting up a little earlier than usual so I have more time in the mornings to do my Bible study, make breakfast, possibly workout, and blog. I think I will start around 6am tomorrow and see how that goes. Right now I am getting up at 7am on days I don’t have class, and those are they days I have so much to get done! And hopefully that will turn into 5:30am eventually!!

What time do y’all get up in the mornings? Is it the same time every morning? I think I need to start getting on a better schedule and maybe allowing myself 1 day a week to wake up on my own. What do y’all think? I just am such a morning person and get so much more stuff done in the mornings!!

Well, I gotta go start getting ready for bed so I can get up early! Good night!!

  1. I go to bed around 7:30 or 8am everyday!! I try to get up that early even though I dont have a class until 11am, because I like to be able to get showered, tidy my room, and slowly eat my breakfast. I find that waking up early reduces my stress and I am thankful for every extra minute in the morning!! I need to hit the sack soon, so that I can get up early again tomorrow!! :)

  2. well then you need to send me that tea because I LOVE IT!!!! LOL

  3. Probably smart to move your 7 to today. Great job still getting in a work out though.
