Happy Friday

Hey!! Happy Friday!! Hope y’all have been having a good one so far :)

I got up this morning STARVING!! For some reason I can’t sleep past 6am(probably because I go to bed so early!! Haha!) so I laid in bed for a bit and finally got up because my stomach was growling so much! Haha. I immediately made some breakfast!! I was definitely in the mood for some cereal this morning!

I had 1 cup Quaker Crack, 1/4 cup Kashi Go Lean Crunch, 1 small banana sliced, and 3/4 cup Almond Breeze. It was just what I wanted!

I also made myself my home version of a chai latte!! I used Chai Spice Black Tea with a splash of cream and 1 tsp sugar. It was so good!! I will be making this again for sure!!

I let my breakfast settle, then it was time to workout! I really wanted to run, but since I’ve done some form of running for the past 4 days and I am running Sat and Sun, I forced myself to take a break from running today. It was hard!! So, I did Polly’s Yoga For Runners, since my legs are still super sore from Wednesday’s workout, and I did a walking treadmill workout!! I walked for 45 minutes, 3.2 miles, and varied my pace from 4.0-4.5mph and my incline from 1.0-8.0! It was pretty tough! I was definitely a sweaty mess when I finished!! Those inclines are killer!! I also took Sadie on a 1 mile walk since she has been stuck inside for the past couple of days. So, 4.2 miles of walking, not too shabby for a “rest” day! Haha!!

I got hungry around 10:30(cereal never hold my hunger over as well as oatmeal does) so I had a snack.

And the rest of my Buffalo Wing Pretzel Crisps!! I also had an un-pictured Tootsie Pop for dessert that I had from class yesterday!!

I have had a super sweet tooth today! Must be since it’s Valentine’s Day Weekend! Haha!! So for an afternoon snack, I made some trail mix!!

Light on the cereal, heavy on the Chocolate and PB chips! Haha! Just what I was craving!!

On to Valentine’s Day!! I’ve found it’s mostly a love or hate holiday. I like it because it’s another fun excuse to have a date night!! We never go big for Valentine’s, we like to just keep it simple!! We had talked about doing our Valentine’s date tonight, if the fiancé gets off work early enough!! I’m excited! We are going to one of my FAVORITE restaurants that just happened to open in our area! I can’t wait!! I’m going to keep y’all in suspense on that! Haha!!

Thanks for all the comments about our Honeymoon hotel in Napa!! Seems like the majority says to splurge and stay in the nice one! Can’t say I agree more!! Haha!! It’s nice to get others opinions though, so thanks again!!

    I can say that I have never been a fan of V-day. It doesn't matter if I am in a relationship or not. This year I am running 12 miles on valentines so I think it will be a good one.

     
  2. I love Valentines Day even though I dont have a boyfriend this year, but I do love getting my parents gifts because I "love" them too!!
    I also just did the yoga for runners and loved it!! Thanks for the recommendation!! :)

     
  3. Valentines day is SO overrated. If people acted like it was valentines day more often, there would be far less divorces!!
