I Need Ideas!!

Happy Saturday morning!! So far, Spring Break is going GREAT!! I was able to go pick out my new hardwood floor color yesterday. I went with a color called Caramel. They even had a whole room with that color laid as the floor and I thought that was so helpful to see what it will actually look like! I also had a fun date night with the fiancé! We had a pizza and movie night, our favorite thing to do! We watched Couples Retreat and both really liked it! It was super funny!! More on the pizza in a bit!!

It’s been nice to be able to sleep in, even though for me that’s 7am! Haha, that’s just what time my body wakes up! I have to do some work on a school presentation today, but it’s rainy here so it will be a good day to get on that! And then grocery shopping time!! Hehe :) Let’s get to my eats from yesterday…

Lunch:

I had lunch over at my parents house yesterday.

001

I had a big, yummy salad and a piece of toast with butter.

002

Allison had a post recently where she used Ranch and Hot Sauce as a salad dressing and I thought that was such a great idea! So I tested it out! VERDICT: Loved it!! Yum!!

Check out this candy bowl full of Easter M&M’s my mom had out! Torture for me! Haha!

003

004

I had this serving, plus a bunch more random handfuls! I couldn’t keep my hand out of these M&M’s!

Snack:

006

Carrot sticks and Cinnamon Raisin Swirl PB. I am NOT a big fan of carrots but with PB they are super yummy!!

Check out these cuties:

005

The BFF’s, Sadie and Georgia!

Dinner:

Like I said before, it was PIZZA NIGHT!! The pizza flavor of the day was my infamous BBQ Chicken Pizza (minus the chicken for me).

010

My half is on the right. The base was Country Bob’s BBQ Sauce and the toppings were:

  • BBQ Chicken for the fiancé's half
  • Cooked, shopped spinach
  • Red onion, chopped
  • Jalapenos
  • Chopped Pineapple
  • Mozzarella and Cheddar cheese

011

All cooked up!! By the way, if you have never had Country Bob’s BBQ Sauce and can find it, you must try it! Best BBQ Sauce ever!!

012

My plate X 2. I ate my whole half of the pizza! Guess I was hungry!!

009

I also sipped on a new kind of Sauv Blanc! Sterling is pretty good! I really liked it! Super fruity tasting but not too sweet!

And for dessert, we had some special treats!! Muddy’s Bake Shop Cupcakes!! My mom and I stopped by Muddy’s after we went to the hardwood floor place and got some cupcakes!! The fiancé was super excited! He loves these!!

008

In the box we had:

  • Strawberry Fields- Strawberry Cake with Strawberry Icing
  • Monkey Around- Banana Cupcake with Banana Frosting
  • Mocha Madness- Chocolate Cupcake with Mocha Frosting
  • Pucker Up- Lemon Cupcake with Lemon Icing

We ended up sampling all of them except the Monkey Around. The fiancé doesn’t like banana flavor (crazy right?!?) so that one will be all mine for another time!! I liked them all but I think my favorite tonight was the Pucker Up! I love that one! The fiancé said his fave was the Mocha Madness one! That surprised me since he doesn’t like coffee! I wish I could have one of these cupcakes every day!!

Breakfast:

This morning was a normal bowl of oats!

013

014

I made Banana Oatmeal with a scoop of Plain Nonfat Greek Yogurt added at the end and topped with a TBSP of Cinnamon Raisin Swirl PB and some PB Granola. Yum! Loved the granola topping!!

I’m planning some type of workout today, but since it’s rainy it looks like it will have to be indoors. Maybe some circuit training?!? Hopefully it will be nicer tomorrow so I can get a longer run in!!

Ok, here is where I need IDEAS from y’all, hence the title of the post!! I need IDEAS for Bridesmaid Gifts! What did you get your bridesmaids or what have you been given that you have really liked? Or if you haven’t been a bridesmaid and aren’t married, what is something you would like to get as a bridesmaid gift?? Keep in mind this is a BEACH WEDDING so something to go with the theme may be fun. I have a few ideas in mind but want to hear input from y’all!! Thanks guys!!

Well friends, gotta start working on that presentation so I can get it finished and get back to Spring Break! Have a GREAT and RELAXING Saturday!!

  1. Yay!!! For serveral reasons - franks and ranch, cute pups, sauv blanc, and cupcakes :) happy saturday my love!

  2. oh my word, those cupcakes look to die for...so jealous!

  3. M&M's....cupcakes....heaven!!!

Mostly for bridesmaids gifts I've been given jewelry to wear to the wedding...stuff that matches the dress and then all the bridesmaids have the same jewelry. I once got a big tote bag that matched our dresses so we could put our stuff in it on the big day. Framed picture of the wedding party. Flip flops! Manicures/pedicures/hair paid for by the bride!

You could always do flip flops as a beach related theme. I thought it was really nice of the bride to pay for our hair/nails since that can really increase the bridesmaid budget...especially since we all had to travel really far for that wedding. It was also nice bonding time before the wedding! I like things that are practical versus just a random trinket.

  4. I think a theme gift is the way to go. Think flip-flops (color coordinated with the wedding), SPF, maybe a beach towel, magazine, gum, and throw it all in a cute beach bag!

  5. I gave mine jewelry and shoes to wear. I love the monogrammed bags though!!

  6. You should put up pictures of your flooring when it comes in!

Those cupcakes... oh my, the lemon-flavored sounds so good to me right now!

  7. Hot sauce and ranch...go on...
I've never been a bridesmaid but for a beach wedding i would get something themed. i know they make silver flip flop necklaces and such. I like what Christie said too.
