Spring Break

Hey friends! Guess what?!? Today is the first day of Spring Break! Yay!! But first, let’s back up to yesterday’s eats…

Breakfast:

I had the most AWESOME Oatmeal creation yesterday morning!! Mocha Oats!!

This was AMAZING!!! In the mix:

  • 1 mashed banana
  • 1/3 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee
  • 1/3 cup Soymilk
  • 1 TBSP Cocoa Powder
  • Dash of Cinnamon and Vanilla
  • Toppings: 2 tsp Cinnamon Raisin Swirl PB, 1 tsp Barney Butter, coconut

YUM, YUM, YUM!! Please try this and let me know what you think!! Out of this world!!

Lunch:

Since I was going to be at school all day, I just packed a jumble of snacks.

I packed:

  • A Cinnamon Raisin English Muffin with cream cheese
  • Carrots with Barney Butter
  • An Orange
  • Chocolate Brownie PURE bar
  • Buffalo Cheddar Popcorn

I should have packed more because this definitely didn’t hold me over all day! Luckily, at my afternoon class, they had snacks! So, I also had some un-pictured goldfish, pretzels, and mini Twix’s!!

Dinner:

I was so exhausted when I got home so I just made another bowl of oats! I know, 2 bowls in 1 day. I also had PB with every meal today! Yikes! PB overload! Haha :)

I got up around 7am this morning and did a 4 mile treadmill run since it was raining outside. I wasn’t too excited to be stuck on the treadmill, but at least it let me catch up on last night’s Grey’s and Private Practice! I also walked 1 more mile after my run so I could finish up my shows :)

Breakfast:

A cold cereal bowl! In the mix:

  • 1/2 cup Kashi H2H
  • 1/2 cup Multigrain Cheerios
  • 1/4 cup PB Granola
  • 1 pear
  • 1 cup of Almond Milk

It was yummy!!

On the agenda for the day: Go pick out wood floors!! I finally got a better estimate so now I need to pick out the color I want from a different store! Luckily, I will have my mom with me for a second opinion! I am so bad at making decisions! Haha!

  2. That first oatmeal recipe looks so good. Thanks for posting. I did oats in a jar last week and it was so filling. Buffalo cheddar popcorn sound yummy too.

    I agree with Susan..I miss the days of Spring Break. I may go back to teaching though, which would let me have one again :)

     
  5. Is it difficult to eat so healthy?? Do you ever just crave a fat buttery piece of garlic bread? Lord have mercy. I don't know if I could do without breads. They are my world. :)

     
  6. Katie- Barney Butter is an Almond Butter, but tastes different than most Almond Butters. Very yummy! I can only find it at Fresh Market though.

     
  7. Good to know. thank you :) I'm going to try to go to Fresh Market this weekend anyway...do you ever get the freshly ground PB or almond butter?? any other suggestions while I'm there?

     
  8. Katie- The freshly ground AB is very good!! I love stuff out of the bulk bins, like trail mixes and such. A lot of good oatmeal mix ins!!
