World AIDS Day

Did ya’ll know today is World AIDS Day?? I know thanks to the tweets from Starbucks!! Today, Starbucks is donating 5 cents per beverage to the Global Fund to fight AIDS in Africa! So get to Starbucks and treat yourself to a yummy beverage for a good cause!! I will be hitting them up later this afternoon when I need a little pick me up! Peppermint Mocha, here I come!!

In other news, this morning’s run with Erin was FREEZING!! The temperature on my car said 29 degrees! Yikes!! My half this Saturday is going to be a chilly one!! We had a good run this morning in those chilly temps!! I ran 2 with Erin (her shin is bothering her) and did the last 2 by myself for a total of 4 miles. Here’s my splits:

Mile 1 :10:44

Mile 2: 10:35

Mile 3: 9:38

Mile 4: 9:10

I sped up at the end because I felt great and because I didn’t have anyone to talk to so I was ready to be finished!! Overall, great run! I think I might hit up Sports Authority again today and check out some cold weather running gear!! I feel like I am always shopping there! Haha! Erin, I hope your shin feels better! Ice, Ice, Ice!!

Tonight, Al and I are decorating our Christmas Tree we bought on Sunday! Nothing beats the smell of a fresh, living Christmas Tree! My house smells so good! I will be posting pics of all our Christmas decorations tomorrow so stay tuned!!

I did my half way measurements for the Whittle Your Middle challenge and I am disappointed to say that they are all exactly the same. No inches lost yet :( Oh well, I feel like my core is getting stronger!

And with that, I hope ya’ll have a fabulous 1st of December!!

  1. I've already been to Starbucks once today! Ha!

  2. As much as I HATE the cold weather I've found that I round at a faster pace in it. Even my hsuband commented the same thing after our turkey trot last week. You'll do well in your half!

  3. What a great cause!!

And can't wait to see the decorations!!!

You are one brave girl going out there in those temps. Don't know if I could do that, haha!!!

  4. Well the shin is still sore. I walked today at lunch and it hurt. It's not bad yet though, so hopefully with the icing, it will be good in the morning.

I lost 1/4 of an inch in my waist, but all the others were the same. I guess we are getting stronger though!
