Date Night+Decisions+Brekkie
Good morning friends!! Happy Weekend!! I am so thankful for this weekend! I know I haven’t been back in school for that long since Christmas Break, but it’s been really tough this semester already! So this little weekend break with nothing that HAS to be done for school (I’m sure there is some reading or something that COULD be done!) is MUCH needed!!
The weather is kinda screwing with my running plans this weekend! And for once, it’s not the rain! It’s the wind!! I was planning on having a relaxing morning, getting some house work done, then heading out for my run about 11:30 or noon. But, apparently there is a wind advisory starting at noon today for 40+ mph winds!! This sucks because:
1. I HATE running in the wind, let alone a WIND ADVISORY!!
2. I’m afraid I will get blown away! Haha, or will barely be able to run!!
3. I want to have a good long run!
Apparently there’s a storm coming, which is why the winds will be appearing!! So, I am considering moving my long run until tomorrow after church and just running a quick 3 miler today. I want to have a good long run and I’m afraid this will really mess with me! The weather tomorrow looks great, and actually I think I will be able to get all my “chores” finished today so tomorrow I can just run right after church and then spend time with the fam! Sounds like a better idea to me!! Any thoughts?? What would you do??
I realize the weather will not ALWAYS be perfect for race days, but I think right now, if not just for mental uplifting, I need to get in a good long run and obviously this wind advisory thing is already messing with my mental preparation!

On to last night’s date night!!
We decided it was a perfect night for pizza and a movie!! It was the fiancé's choice for movie so he chose Gamer. It was very interesting! Kind of a crazy concept of how the world could be due to technology! Ha! I give it 3 out of 5 stars. I think Gerard Butler is very nice to look at, so this movie had that going for it! Haha!!
The pizza turned out super good!! I am normally a Boboli crust pizza fan for make your own pizzas, but apparently Wal-Mart doesn’t carry them. So, I bought the Wal-Mart brand make your own pizza dough to try!
All you have to do is mix 1/2 cup hot water with it and form it into a dough ball. Let sit for 5 minutes.
Then spread out on a pizza pan. I baked this for 5 minutes on 475* Then, we added our toppings and baked it for another 10 minutes.
And this is how it turned out!! Very yummy, we both agreed!! The toppings included:
- Marinara Sauce
- Black olives
- Spinach
- Onion
- Jalapenos
- Mini Pepperonis
- Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
I love sneaking veggies into the pizza!! The fiancé said that these were the best pizza toppings ever!! Score for me!!
My plate. I had another small slice also :)
And for dessert, we had 1 cupcake left, so we split it!!
I believe this was called White Decadence. It was a chocolate cupcake with white chocolate frosting and chocolate chips on top!! Yummy!!
I also ate a little more trail mix since I only got half a cupcake!!

I woke up this morning a little early, around 6:15am thanks to my precious (or not) dog Sadie. Apparently she was ready to eat, so it was time for me to get up! She’s just like a kid, gosh! Haha!!
Oatmeal was definitely on the menu this morning!! I stocked up on more Almond Milk yesterday!!
At Wal-Mart, they only carry Almond Dream, so that’s what I got. And a BIG carton at that!! It’s a little different tasting than Almond Breeze, but still ok. Just doesn’t work well in coffee :( It gets all chunky looking, like it’s not ground up as fine as the Almond Breeze. It’s fine for cereal and oatmeal though!! But, I will be heading back to Kroger next week to do my shopping! Almond Breeze all the way!!
I also bought these 2 gems yesterday!! Naturally More PB and Nature’s Path Pumpkin Granola! Yum!! I can only find NM PB at Wal-Mart, which is the WHOLE reason I did my shopping there yesterday!! This PB is so worth it!!
I made my Banana Oatmeal base and topped it with blueberries, NM PB, and Pumpkin Granola!! Best bowl of oats in a LONG time!! Loved it!!
And some coffee with half and half due to the coffee+Almond Dream fail.
Alright y’all, I gotta get started on my to do list!! What are y’all doing this weekend? Having good or bad weather?? I will be back later with a fun baking project to share!! Have a GREAT one!!

ugh, I hate running in the wind. I'll run in anything else. If there was supposed to be 40+ wind gusts I would have rescheduled too. No sense in that. If the wx is like that on race day, you can pretty much kiss a PR goodbye anyways.
I toally understand about the schoolwork. My hubby would always say to me, "are you done with your homework?" and I'd always say, "I'm never done. There's always something I can do, but I'm done for today." Have a good weekend. Try to relax that brain!
YAY for date nights!!!! :)
I love that peanut butter! The honey instead of sugar makes all the difference!
